The file that is loaded into Retargeter is a .fwr (Faceware Retargeting) file generated by Analyzer, sometimes referred to as a performance file. When a .fwr is opened for the first time in Retargeter during "Open Performance," the contents of that file are extracted into a folder that contains the same name as the .fwr file.

This folder contains the parameterized tracking data as well as specific data about the performance that you are working on. While you are working in Retargeter, this folder also includes the data from your in-progress work, including your poses and Retargeter settings. Most of these files will never need to be touched by a user.
*Note: Retargeter 5.1 includes an improvement that will automatically replace the data if using a .fwr file that has been re-parameterized. The following instructions only apply if using 5.0 or earlier.
If you need to replace the tracking data from a job with data that you've fixed in Analyzer, you will need to manually copy and paste some files. Follow the instructions below to do so without losing any of your current work:

Once you've done so, then when you begin to work on your shot in Retargeter again, any attempt at retargeting or AutoSolving will use the new parameter data. Continue to work on your shot from there.
*Note - If you have not yet begun to work on the shot or wish to start fresh, you can delete the entire extracted folder, but please note that this will delete any work you've already done on the shot. Be very careful before proceeding with this if you choose to do so.
