How do I download and install Faceware Studio?

 

A fresh installation requires a "Faceware_Studio_X.X.X.XXX_Installer.exe" file. This can be obtained after logging into the facewaretech.com website and heading to the Downloads page. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the instructions in the installer.

 

 


 

How do I access my license when launching the Studio application?

 

Your Faceware Studio license(s) uses a cloud-based licensing system and does not require activation with a ticket. The license tied to your Faceware web portal login. When Studio is launched, a login is required using the email and password that is used to access your Faceware website account. Upon login, the software connects to the cloud to verify whether or not a license is available for your account. If so, the software will launch. If there is no available license, then you receive a message indicating as such and the software will not launch.

 

NOTE: Internet access is required to launch Studio.

 


 

How do I use Faceware Studio?

How long is my Faceware Studio trial? 

 

The total amount of days you can trial the software is 30 days. When you start the trial, you are given a 15 day trial immediately. Afterwards, you can extend the trial through the software one time for an additional 15 days.

Where do I get technical or licensing help with the Live Client for Unreal plugin?

 

Glassbox, the developer of the Live Client for Unreal plugin, will help you out with any direct support that you need with their plugin, so if you need to start or extend a trial of their plugin or have any questions about installation, the best place to look is on their website: https://glassboxtech.com/products/live-client. From there, you can sign up for a trial or contact their support team.

Known Issues

 

Faceware Studio is being updated to support as many cameras as possible, but sometimes an error will occur that states the camera is already in use or it cannot be found in the selection menu.

 

Virtual Camera Workaround

 

If you are encountering camera issues, you can also try to use software like OBS or ManyCam as a virtual camera to feed the stream into Studio. Select the virtual camera in the dropdown menu when selecting your source in Studio.


 



 

Software Compatibility

Faceware Studio is designed for optimal performance on Windows 10 computers. Studio will run on Windows 7 and 8, but you may encounter some performance issues. Studio will not run on macOS.

 


 

Hardware Compatibility

Certain integrated and USB cameras may cause video playback to stutter. We recommend you disable or remove the camera(s) that causes the stuttering and try a different camera. It may also help to set your computer power settings to High-Performance mode.

 

Faceware Studio is designed to be used on a computer with a dedicated graphics card. If your computer has both an integrated and dedicated graphics card, you will want to specify that Windows uses the dedicated graphics card for Studio. Click here for instructions.
